This paper addresses a crucial gap in collaborative perception for autonomous driving by proposing a digital semantic communication framework, CoDS. Existing semantic communication methods are incompatible with modern digital V2X networks. CoDS bridges this gap by introducing a novel semantic compression codec, a semantic analog-to-digital converter, and an uncertainty-aware network.
